About Us
| Wycliffe Baptist Church is a group of ordinary people called together by a loving God. He sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to live in this world, to die in our place, and to rise from the dead; we're now following him, trying to live out the truth of the Bible, in the 21st century, in East Reading.We are over 500 adults from all races and backgrounds (with the largest age group being the thirty-and twenty-somethings) plus about 200 children. Two-thirds of us live within one mile of the church building. We meet to worship on Sundays, in homes mid-week for closer friendship, and at other times too many to mention, for (among other things) fun. We take the Bible seriously, we're learning to live more in harmony with Holy Spirit, and we try to make the Christian faith understandable to everyone. We hope that whatever contact you have with us, through this website or by actually dropping in, you'll feel welcomed by people who live in the real world and whose lives have been touched by the real and loving God! | |
