Baptism ** We believe Jesus loves it when we respond to his

command to be baptised. For more information please contact the church office or one of the pastors.

** When being baptised it’s great when people tell their

stories. But if “making a speech” scares you, we can always find another way for you to talk about your commitment to the Lord, so don’t be put off.

** Next Baptismal service will be September 14th

Spring Harvest 2009 takes place at Minehead and Skegness over three weeks, 4th -19th April. Booking for Minehead opens on 11th June and for Skegness on 18th June. Booking forms are available in the rack in the vestibule.

Gift for Tearfund At the Weekend Away we took up a freewill offering for Tearfund to use for disaster relief. On Sunday 15th June we want to enable anyone else who did not go on the weekend away but who would like to give to Tearfund for disaster relief to do so. If you would like to give a gift for this cause please place it in an envelope clearly marked for Tearfund and then put the envelope in the offering plate as normal. If you are a UK taxpayer, please also complete one of the white gift aid envelopes - this will enable us to recover (and pass on) an additional 28%. It is intended that all gifts received will then be sent on to Tearfund on Monday 16th June.

Missionary News 3:

Our missionary Brian Newton has sent us the following update on his work: If you ask any missionary you will discover that much of what they do is 'routine' or is involved with logistics. That's where we are right now, and we'd appreciate prayer for these ... on one hand (i) working our way through a huge database of contacts inquiring about their interest in our agency and work, and encouraging them in their walk with God. On the other hand (ii) we need to nail down logistics and arrangements for an upcoming Southeast Asia ministry trip in August ... flights, accommodation, networking, and any preaching. We do value your prayer and partnership. Thank you.
