Communion For those unable to eat wheat products, there will be small portions of rice cake available as the bread is passed round. Please do not take this unless you cannot take the bread. The communion wine is non-alcoholic, 100% grape juice.

Welcome to new members Heather Francis, Gloria Small, Trina Tan, Jane Beckett, Angela (Yin-Chi) Shen Door Knocking round Newtown If you would like to join a team of people who are knocking on people’s doors in Newtown introducing the church then meet up in the Warehouse Foyer 12.30 pm each Sunday. The plan is to meet briefly at 12.30 pm to plan, return to church at 5pm, pray and then go out to Newtown returning in time for the evening service. Don’t worry about lack of experience - you’ll work in teams and get some training. For more details contact Debbie Lambie
ALPHA Our Alpha course will be starting this September, with an introductory meal on Thursday 18th September, 7.30 pm in the Warehouse. Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over a meal with some thought-provoking weekly talks and discussions. 'A place in the sun' An exciting 3 1/2 day holiday-style event for those aged 55 and over. A time to enjoy activities, entertainment and spiritual renewal with old and new friends. Refreshments and lunch provided. This is an opportunity to bring your friends. Book soon as places are limited! An opportunity Ever thought of getting a new perspective on the congregation to serve at church services? How about becoming an OHP operator! the Lord We need some morning and evening. It’s not onerous and won’t be indefinite, if only because the OHP’s will become redundant when the church refurbishment happens. Most importantly, it’s an opportunity to serve the Lord. Ice breakers New team members required in order to open the group again in September. Icebreakers meets on a Tuesday evening between 6 - 7.15pm for 7-11 year olds. Please speak to Jane Farnworth or Sally Hodgson (phone number from church office) if you want to know more.
Toddlers New team members required (from now on) to strengthen and run with the Toddlers ministry to families. We are looking for available people on a Wednesday between 9am - 12.30pm (or part there of) to set up rooms, to welcome and befriend visitors and pack away toys at the end of each session (or on a rota basis). Please speak to Jane Farnworth or Marisa Weekes (phone number from church office) if it could be you!
Holiday Bible Club *** Once again Holiday Bible Club are collecting cardboard boxes and yoghurt pots for junk modelling. If you have any cardboard boxes (any size) please can you leave them in the foyer by the welcome desk. ***** We are short of one person in Crèche on Friday morning, 29th August. If you are able to help please let Helen Bishop know by 10th August or contact Jane Farnworth at the office

A record breaking men's breakfast on Saturday October 11! Across the UK, churches will be taking part in The Bigger Breakfast, a world recording breakfast attempt on Saturday, October 11. Men from Wycliffe (and their mates) will be gathering in the Back of Beyond pub at 9am. Book the date in your diary now, and let's fill it! We need 19,000 men for a new world record.
